Alverno Nurses Recognized with Daisy Awards
On April 4, 2025, Trinity Health Senior Communities proudly recognized the quarterly winner of our DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses: Theresa Nielsen, RN, B.S.N., health information management coordinator at The Alverno in Clinton, IA. Theresa was lauded at a celebratory ceremony at The Alverno last week, as was her colleague Tammy Scott, a THSC DAISY Award nominee.
THSC Chief Nursing Officer Dennis P. White read both nurses' nominations. About Tammy Scott, he said: "She is the first person to advocate for a resident and their needs. She has stopped her work many times to sit with residents and listen to their concerns."
When presenting Theresa Nielsen with the DAISY Award, Dennis quoted from her nomination: "Individuals like Theresa are not just invaluable assets to their teams; they are also transformative forces capable of shaping a more compassionate future for health care as a whole.",
Congratulations, Theresa and Tammy!
